ITINERARY:

• Day 1: Arrive in Broome and embark on the Seabourn Pursuit. Enjoy a welcome dinner and explore the ship’s luxurious amenities.
• Day 2: Cruise to Adele Island & Buccaneer Archipelago for a Zodiac exploration of coral reefs and marine life. Captain’s welcome dinner in the evening.
• Day 3: Discover Horizontal Falls and navigate the dramatic rock formations of Talbot Bay and Cyclone Creek.
• Day 4: Visit Freshwater Cove & Montgomery Reef, featuring an Arraluli Heritage Experience with a traditional Welcome to Country and rock art exploration. Witness Montgomery Reef rising dramatically with the tide.
• Day 5: Explore Hunter River & Mitchell Falls, spotting crocodiles, sea eagles, and mangroves. Optional helicopter tour over Mitchell Falls.
• Day 6: Relax onboard before visiting Ashmore Reef Marine Park, home to diverse seabirds, coral reefs, and marine life. Zodiac exploration (weather permitting).
• Day 7: Walk to the WWII DC-3 wreckage in Vansittart Bay, then visit Jar Island to see ancient Gwion Gwion rock art.
• Day 8: Cruise through King George River's towering gorges. Zodiac tour to the spectacular King George Falls.
• Day 9: Enjoy a day at sea, indulging in the ship’s luxury amenities, before arriving in Darwin in the evening.
• Day 10: Disembark in Darwin.

Tour Highlights

Enjoy viewing the incredible Horizontal Falls aboard a Zodiac in Talbot Bay, subject to tidal conditions. Forged by the bay’s impressive 12-metre tides, the powerful currents are a sight to behold.

Arraluli Heritage Exploration

Experience a Welcome to Country and an immersive smoking ceremony conducted by the Arraluli people, the traditional custodians of the land. Then, embark on a guided hike led by the Expedition Team to explore a mesmerising rock art site where your Aboriginal guide will offer an interpretation of the rock art. This Signature Experience offers a profound connection to the rich cultural heritage and timeless traditions of the Arraluli people.

Montgomery Reef

Soak in the amazing scenes aboard a Zodiac as Montgomery Reef dramatically rises out of the ocean as a result of the region’s strong tides. Cruise through narrow channels between the world’s largest inshore reef as you admire the spectacle, and the incredible wildlife exposed by the cascading water.

King George River and Falls

Get up close and personal to the magnificent King George Falls, where the King George River tumbles 80 metres down from lofty sandstone cliffs. You’ll be able to experience its power as your Zodiac creeps close to the iconic waterfall.
